I am a 43 year old investment broker, and sought medical assistance to deal with some fatigue, weakness, achiness in my legs, and dizziness I was experiencing. I suspected metal poisoning because I had 12 amalgam fillings. The doctor did a battery of tests, including blood tests, urine tests and even a test for candida. All of the blood and urine tests were normal, and the candida test came back negative. The only “bad” test was that my hair showed elevated levels of copper. By the time I had taken all of these tests and received the results, my original symptoms were gone and I was feeling perfectly well. But my doctor wanted me to do one more test, the DMPS challenge test.
I had heard about this test. I was at a meeting where Dr. Vimy talked about his bad reaction to DMPS, and I had heard others talk about how this drug had hurt them, too. So I was originally not willing to do this test. But my doctor said that he had never had any problem with it, and he was very confident. So I trusted him and agreed to the DMPS challenge test even though I was feeling fine. I thought, he says it’s safe, so why not?
Shortly after the test I felt very weak, so I began taking large doses of Vitamin C. I was getting ready to leave for a trip to Europe and I was concerned. Quite suddenly one of my amalgams became very loose and caused me a great deal of pain. I had an emergency dental appointment where the tooth had to be extracted. I strongly suspect that the DMPS affected the metal in my tooth, although I can’t say for sure. What I know is that I have had these amalgams for many years, and never had a problem until shortly after the DMPS injection.
I left for Europe even though I was feeling ill, and continued to worsen there. I had terrible mental confusion and anxiety. I couldn’t even have a normal conversation. It was both frightening and embarrassing. After four days there I returned home. I felt like I was dying. My head was pounding like there was a sledgehammer in the middle of it. I was dizzy and nauseous and couldn’t function. I began vomiting uncontrollably. My doctor gave me intravenous vitamin C, but I continued to feel terrible. My head was spinning, and I was shaky and dizzy. I could feel food moving in my body … a very weird sensation. And there was undigested food in my stools. I became completely constipated.
It has been five months since that injection and I am not the same. The vomiting has stopped, and the digestion problems, headaches and dizziness have dissipated. But I continue to feel weak and fatigued, and I now test positive for candida. I asked my doctor for a refund of the money I spent for the DMPS, and he refused.
